People often ask “what is the commitment for spring lacrosse”?  Our simple answer is we expect our players to attend a minimum of 80% of their practices and games.  For Grades 5 and above, we expect other “out of season” sports be given lower priority to Doc’s Lacrosse.   Pre-season practices will start on Sundays in Late February/ Early March.  These practices are required.    After spring break period, 3-8th grade teams typically have one weeknight practice and games on either weekends or weekdays. Weekday games typically start at 6:00 or 6:30pm.  Grades 7 and 8 will not have games/practices scheduled on Tuesdays or Thursdays to ensure no conflicts with their middle school teams  (NOTE: Schedules will be handed out at the beginning of the season, but are subject to change).  Games and tournaments are played against programs in the NY Metropolitan area (generally about 1 hour travelling time or less)  Our home fields include Riverdale CS, Randall’s Island, Poly Prep, and LI City HS.  Boys and girls K-2 have one practice/clinic session per week and do not play a regular game schedule.  2nd grade boys will play in some end of the season tournaments.
