HALL OF FAME HONOREES
Chuck Ruebling is the Assistant Headmaster and former Head Boys Lacrosse Coach at Delbarton School and the founder of Patriot Lacrosse Club. Coach Ruebling began playing lacrosse as a 9th grader on the first ever Delbarton lacrosse team in 1975, which sparked his love for the game. Upon graduating from Cornell University, Ruebling returned to his Alma Mater to join both the coaching and teaching staff. This was the beginning of Ruebling’s career as one of the most respected and decorated coaches in New Jersey. Over his 31 years as head coach, Ruebling compiled a 523-114 record (.820 winning percentage), led Delbarton to win a state record of 16 Morris County Championships and 15 State Championships, and a state record of 6 NJ Tournament of Champions Championships. Ruebling has been inducted into the NJSIAA and NJ Lacrosse Hall of Fame and is a 10x National Lacrosse Convention guest speaker. Coach Ruebling fulfilled a lifelong goal of adding World Champion to his resume by helping lead the U19 Team USA win the gold. Ruebling also played a key role in the establishment of CityLax and provided crucial support during the organization’s foundational years.
Evan Sheinberg is a Portfolio Manager for Point72 Asset Management, a hedge fund with headquarters in Stamford, Ct and New York City . Sheinberg has been a leader and senior member of the macro group at Point72 and SAC Capital since 2003 . He is currently responsible for a macro portfolio team of 8 investors. Sheinberg joined SAC and Point72 from Lehman Brothers, where he worked for 20 years. While at Lehman Brothers, Sheinberg served as Managing Director and was responsible for managing the government bond business within the fixed income trading division. He also started and ran a proprietary cross asset trading business while at Lehman. Sheinberg received his BA in Political Science from Amherst College in 1982 and his MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business in 1988. Currently, he is on the Board of Trustees of St. David’s School in NYC and has been actively involved with DOCs and CityLax since its establishment in 2006. Sheinberg played baseball throughout high school and at Amherst College, but has since become an active member of the lacrosse community. Two of Sheinberg’s three sons currently play lacrosse and he is an ardent supporter of their athletic endeavors and of CityLax’s mission.
