At the CityLax Gala on May 6 at the New York Athletic Club, Adam Doneger will be inducted into the CityLax Hall of Fame for his outstanding contributions to the sport of lacrosse, his unwavering support of CityLax’s mission, and his leadership within the broader community.
“Adam has been a consistent supporter of CityLax and his support helped play a critical role in our commitment to NYC public high school lacrosse development and the expansion of our middle school Discover Lacrosse programs,” said CityLax board president Rob Pannell.
Tickets and sponsorships for the CityLax Gala can be purchased by visiting www.citylax.org/annual-gala starting now. The CityLax Gala is our largest fundraiser of the year, helping support our mission to use the sport of lacrosse as a catalyst for on and off-the-field success for underserved youth throughout New York City.
Doneger serves as Executive Vice Chairman of U.S. Capital Markets at Newmark, where he has worked on more than $150 billion in real estate transactions across multiple asset classes. Prior to joining Newmark, he held leadership roles at Cushman & Wakefield, Eastdil Secured, and Brookfield Asset Management, after beginning his career at Morgan Stanley.
A standout lacrosse player, Doneger was a two-time First Team All-American at Johns Hopkins University, where he also served as team captain and was later named to the program’s All-Time Team. He went on to play professionally for the New Jersey Pride in Major League Lacrosse, earning MLL Rookie of the Year honors in 2003. Doneger also represented the United States as a member of the 2002 U.S. Men’s National Team, which won a gold medal in Australia.
In recognition of his impact on the sport, Doneger was elected to the Long Island Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2014.
Beyond the field, Doneger is deeply engaged in philanthropic work, serving on the Board of Directors for River Fund, a nonprofit focused on combating hunger, homelessness, and poverty in city neighborhoods. He also serves as a Leadership Fellow at Johns Hopkins University and sits on the Johns Hopkins Athletic Department Advisory Board.
