When the school year ends, the CityLax mission continues.

CityLax hosted a successful Lacrosse Play Day on Saturday, May 30 at Bronx Legacy High School, welcoming more than 50 students from four KIPP NYC middle schools for a day centered around learning, teamwork, and fun through the game of lacrosse.

CityLax has always been about more than lacrosse — it’s about access, opportunity, and the power of mentorship to change lives. This year's award honorees combine to encapsulate the mission.

Nguyen is being honored with the inaugural Gavril Pasternak Volunteerism Award — a recognition that reflects a life shaped by mentorship, service, and a commitment to lifting others.
