Meet Our Junior Advisory Board

Sabrina AlimiSabrina Alimi grew up in Syracuse, NY where she started playing lacrosse at a young age. She went on to play four years at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where she graduated with a degree in Electronic, Media, and Arts Communications and a minor in Marketing. Sabrina works in advertising technology and continues to both play and coach lacrosse. She is a seasoned Doc’s NYC 3rd and 4th grade girls coach and a co-captain of the CityLax Queens Winter Clinics. When Sabrina is not coaching, she can be found on the field playing with her team, Central Lacrosse, in the CityLax Southampton Shootout and other tournaments.

Jeff BolteJeff Bolte grew up in Garden City and attended Chaminade High School, where he played 4 years of football. After high school, Jeff attended Fordham University in the Bronx and was named captain of the Fordham Men’s Club Lacrosse team, which competes in the NY Metro division of the NCLL. Jeff currently works at a business development company primarily focused on debt investments in middle market businesses. Having grown up around lacrosse on Long Island, Jeff is passionate about expanding the game to new areas and athletes, and is excited to be working with CityLax to achieve that goal.

Todd CochranTodd Cochran grew up outside of Philadelphia and played for Conestoga High School playing both soccer and varsity lacrosse. He attended Georgetown University as a four year member of the lacrosse team under Dave Urick. After graduating in 2009 with degrees in Marketing and Management Information, he moved to New York to work in finance. Today, he works for Salesforce in their Financial services division. Todd has been with CityLax for over 5 years, volunteering as a coach as well as building curriculum for the Winter Clinics.

Amanda D'AmicoAmanda D’Amico was introduced to lacrosse in Upstate New York at a young age by her older sister and cousin who both played lacrosse while growing up and in college. Amanda earned IWLCA All-American and first-team All-Central New York honors as a senior at Oswego High School in 2010. She went on to play at Cornell University, serving as a senior captain and graduating in 2014. Post graduation, Amanda moved to NYC to work at a digital media agency, and now works in advertising at Bloomberg L.P. Amanda has always enjoyed coaching younger players and giving back to the community and sport that she believes shaped who she is today. By serving as a member of the CityLax Junior Advisory Board, she is able to continue to do so and to share her enthusiasm for the sport.

John GreenJohn Green grew up in New Canaan, CT, lettering in three varsity sports (football, track, lacrosse) at New Canaan High School and earned All-FCIAC Honorable Mention his senior year for lacrosse. He went on to attend Vanderbilt University, where he played four years on their MCLA Division 1 Club lacrosse team, elected as Captain his senior year. Following in the footsteps of those who came before him, John continued his involvement with the New Canaan Lacrosse Association beyond his playing days by coaching in the youth program. Upon moving to Manhattan, John was introduced to Doc’s NYC and CityLax through a former college teammate. It was a natural transition to coaching with Doc’s and volunteering with CityLax at winter clinics in both Manhattan and Brooklyn, and eventually to joining the CityLax Junior Advisory Board. Professionally, John is a senior member of the Private Equity/M&A Practice at Beecher Carlson, an insurance and risk management brokerage firm. He specializes in providing diligence and risk management solutions for Private Equity Funds and their Portfolio Companies.

Alex HannonAlex Hannon grew up in Garden City, Long Island, playing lacrosse, field hockey, and basketball, which ensured a lot of pasta parties during her school years! Opting to not stray too far from home, Alex played defense for Hofstra University and graduated with a major in Finance and minor in Economics. Several years out of college, she now works in financial planning & analysis for the retail industry. Alex has been volunteer coaching for CityLax for 4 years and has been a member of the JAB for the past three years. She is very proud to be part of this organization and excited for the new opportunities CityLax has in the pipeline.

Caroline HutchinsonCaroline Hutchinson grew up in Annapolis, MD playing lacrosse and running cross country and track. Caroline graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2016 with a dual B.A. degree in Economics and Classics and was Captain of the Women’s Varsity Lacrosse Team. In college, Caroline earned all-conference and all-tournament nods in addition to participating in the NCAA tournament all four years. Caroline resides in NYC and works for PwC consulting in the private equity sector.

Fielding KiddFielding Kidd is the Director of Business Partnerships for Entrepreneurial Engagement at Comcast where she is focused on accelerating product innovation for Comcast NBCUniversal through partnership with outside entrepreneurs/startups. Previously, Fielding was the Manager of Innovation Programs at Media Labs, NBCUniversal where her primary responsibility was to engage with NBCUniversal’s brands and business units to drive innovation through emerging technology. Fielding is from Atlanta, GA, where she attended The Westminster Schools for high school. Fielding also holds a B.A. Degree in political science from Yale University, where she was the sole captain of the Yale Women’s Lacrosse team. Fielding is still very active with both of her alma maters and volunteers with CityLax to expand the game of lacrosse in New York City.

Maddie KiepMaddie graduated in 2016 from Cornell University summa cum laude where she played lacrosse for the Big Red. While at Cornell, Maddie was a member of the 2016 Ivy League Tournament Championship team, chairman of the team’s community service committee and recognized as a Yeardley Reynolds Love Unsung Hero award finalist. Maddie grew up in Haddonfield, New Jersey and was a 2012 graduate from Haddonfield Memorial High School, where she lettered in soccer, basketball and lacrosse. Maddie currently lives in New York City and works in private wealth management. She is excited to be more involved in youth lacrosse initiatives through her engagement with CityLax.

Katie LavinKatie Lavin grew up outside Philadelphia (Upper Dublin High School) playing a wide range of sports from soccer and swimming to basketball, tennis, lacrosse, and field hockey. As a 3-sport high school athlete, she found focus and followed her passion for lacrosse to Cornell University (’03). Katie played for the Big Red for 4 years, which included 2 ECAC titles and NCAA tournaments, including a heartbreaking loss to Georgetown in the 2002 Final Four. After graduating, Katie moved to NYC and continued to play for the prestigious NYAC and coached at the Dalton School, camps, and Millburn-Short Hills Youth Lacrosse. Katie continues to be involved in growing and promoting the sport through CityLax, coaching, and mentoring players. Katie is back in NYC after living in Santa Monica, CA and, off the field, works in sports marketing.

Sarah MahonSarah Mahon was a four year member of the Women’s Lacrosse Team at Rutgers University from 2010-2014. There, she was a three year starter in the midfield, helping her defense finish sixth in the NCAA and make a 2014 Big East Tournament appearance. While at Rutgers, Sarah earned her degree in Psychology and was a member of the Big East All-Academic Team all four of her years there. Staying active in the lacrosse community is still very important to Sarah–she is a member of the New York Athletic Club’s Women’s Lacrosse Team, as well as a CityLax Fall Program Coach since 2016. She has been a member of the JAB since 2016. Today, Sarah works as a Marketing Associate at Cantor Fitzgerald.

John Maimone-MedwickJohn Maimone-Medwick grew up in Manhasset, Long Island, playing lacrosse, basketball, and football, winning the New York State men's lacrosse championship in 2010 and Nassau County Men's Basketball Championship in 2011. John graduated from Williams College in 2015 with a degree in Economics and was captain of the men's lacrosse team. After his senior season, John was selected to the 2015 North-South All-Star game. John currently resides in NYC and works on the investment team for a non-profit organization.

Kathryn MaioranoKathryn Maiorano has worked as an Associate in Deutsche Bank’s Wealth Management division since August 2017. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Kathryn worked at Mercer Investments and Credit Suisse. For the past two seasons (2016-2017), Kathryn coached the CityLax’s Girls Fall Showcase Team. Kathryn graduated from Hamilton College in 2014, where she double-majored in mathematics and economics. While at Hamilton, Kathryn was a member of the women’s varsity lacrosse team for four years. During her senior year, Kathryn was named team captain. Kathryn played high school lacrosse at Chatham High School in Chatham, NJ. While there, she was a two-time Morris County Champion and two time Group 2 State Champion. Kathryn was also named an Academic All American in 2009 and 2010.

Mike MalaveMike Malave is from Wading River, New York where he attended Shoreham-Wading River High School. Mike competed in Lacrosse and Track while at SWR. Upon graduation, Mike went on to attend Hofstra University as a Finance major, where he was a four year starter and amassed 92 points as a midfielder. Mike was a three time CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award recipient, three time Honor Roll member, two-time Dean’s List student, two-time All-CAA selection, and was selected as a Scholar All-American while serving as Team Captain his Senior year.
Following Hofstra, Mike was drafted by the New York Lizards in 2015 and went on to win the MLL Championship with the Lizards that year. |
Mike now plays for the New York Athletic Club team which has won two American Lacrosse League Championships in his three years with the team. Outside of lacrosse, Mike works at Morgan Stanley Investment Management as an Internal Sales Specialist.
After working with/managing Long Island club lacrosse programs, Mike got involved with CityLax & DOC’s in 2019. Mike is very proud to be part of this organization and aims to draw awareness to our efforts through his network while providing a high level of coaching to all of our student-athletes.

Nick MartellNick Martell is passionate about entrepreneurship globally. He is currently pursuing an MBA from Wharton and will combine this with an MPP degree from Harvard Kennedy School. In his “side-hustle,” Nick is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of MarketSnacks (www.marketsnacks.com) the ultimate daily email newsletter changing financial news by making Wall Street headlines quick, clear, and entertaining for Millennials. MarketSnacks has been featured in Fortune, Business Insider, Forbes, and more, and Nick makes regular TV appearances on CBS, Nasdaq Live, and CheddarTV as a voice for Millennials on business. Nick graduated from Brown University in 2011 with a degree in American History and played on the Division I varsity men’s lacrosse team, earning the Dom Starsia Coaches’ Award as a senior. He grew up in New York City, attending Fieldston where he was a 2006 High School All-American. Nick learned to play lacrosse through Doc’s beginning in 5th grade under the coaching and mentorship of Mat Levine.

Jon McIvorJon McIvor currently works at Match Point Partners, a healthcare-focused advisory firm in New York City. Jon grew up in Sudbury, Massachusetts and attended Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. Jon graduated from Colby College in 2012, where he majored in Economics. While at Colby, Jon captained the men’s varsity lacrosse team and was an All-NESCAC and All-New England selection. Jon has coached with DOC’s since 2016.

John MinieriJohn Minieri has been an active member of the lacrosse community throughout his entire life and currently serves as the Junior Advisory Board Co-Chair. He has been a volunteer with CityLax for 8 years, helping to lead CityLax’s winter clinics during his time as a site captain at the Brooklyn location. John currently works for Blackbaud as a Solutions Engineer, where he works directly with nonprofit organizations to help them advance their fundraising goals, maximize their engagement efforts, and increase organization effectiveness. Prior to joining Blackbaud, John worked in various marketing, development, and programming capacities in art and design-focused nonprofit organizations throughout New York City. John has a masters degree from New York University and received his bachelors degree from Canisius College, where he was also a 4 year member of their Division I lacrosse team. John currently resides in Brooklyn, NY with his fiancé, Maggie, and dog, Lady.

Hadley MongellHadley Mongell has been a member of the CityLax JAB since 2014 and serves as Site Captain and Winter Clinics Coach for the Girls Bronx location at Christopher Columbus High School. Originally from Locust Valley, New York, her love of lacrosse started from a very young age becuase her Dad was a high school All-American and played lacrosse at West Point. Hadley was a product of youth lacrosse on Long Island and went on to receive All-County Lacrosse Honors at Friends Academy and was selected as an attack player to represent the U.S. in the World Scholar Athlete Games hosted by the Institute for International Sport. Hadley has a BA in Communications from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and a MBA in Corporate Finance from Fordham University. She is currently Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Micro Precision LLC, a manufacturing conglomerate specializing in critical product assemblies for the rail, defense and aerospace industries. In her spare time, she is Treasurer of the Junior League of Greenwich. Other non-profit participation includes New York Athletic Club’s Athlete’s Fund–a member driven board that helps subsidize the cost of member athletes competing and representing both the club and the United States in the Olympic Games.

Moner MosaI was introduced to the game of lacrosse at age 15 while attending Christopher Columbus HS in the Bronx. I immediately fell in love with the game of lacrosse. I will forever be grateful to have been allowed to grow the game as a player and a coach. The love for the game drove me to new heights in life from scholarship opportunities at a Top tier university to mentors who have guided me to a successful career in business. I am most thankful for the new challenge Citylax has given me with lacrosse, and the ongoing efforts to empower the youth of NYC through the game of lacrosse.

Bill NguyenBill Nguyen is from the Bronx and is a former CityLax student-athlete. Growing up, he played basketball, football, and ran track. While at Columbus High School, he joined the CityLax lacrosse team and then continued to play in college. Bill attended St. John’s University for a year, before transferring to Ohio State, where he competed on the men’s rowing team. Bill currently works in research at Mount Sinai Health System and sales at ConnectLax. He now coaches boys lacrosse at Frederick Douglass Academy and volunteers as a coach for the CityLax Winter Clinics.

Edward ReedEdward Reed grew up in Reston, Virginia where he attended South Lakes High School. Edward competed in lacrosse, swimming, football, and golf while at South Lakes. Upon graduation, Edward attended Gettysburg College, where he played lacrosse and water polo. Midway through his sophomore year, Edward transferred to Hamilton College where he continued to played lacrosse and water polo. Edward followed in his family lineage as a 3rd generation captain of the Continentals as his grandfather and uncle both captained the Hamilton Lacrosse team in their respective years. He has been involved with CityLax and DOC’s Lacrosse Club since 2014 and remains an active coaching member across these programs. Edward is currently a management consultant for EY specializing in Wealth and Asset Management Advisory.

Nicholas RossinoNicholas Rossino grew up outside Philadelphia and played football, wrestling, and lacrosse at Haverford Senior High School. After high school, Nick attended Drexel University in Philadelphia where he played 4 years of Club Lacrosse and was elected defensive captain his senior year. While in college, Nick also stayed involved with his high school alma mater and coached Varsity/JV lacrosse during his senior year. Upon graduation in 2014, Nick moved to Manhattan and took a job with PWC as a management consultant. After being inspired by a commercial on ESPN, Nick volunteered with the Bronx Clinic at Columbus High School. Recently, Nick moved jobs and works in Tactical Opportunities at the Blackstone Group

Will StewartWill Stewart is a 2013 graduate of Williams College where he was a two-time captain on the Eph lacrosse team, and a 2009 graduate of John Jay High School in Cross River, New York. At John Jay, Will was was a team captain and voted All American his senior year, while simultaneously lettering in football. Will got involved with CityLax through Mat Levine, a fellow Williams graduate, and began working with CityLax by running winter clinics in Harlem with a few other Ephs. Will currently lives in New York City and works in asset management. In his free time, Will enjoys skiing, traveling, mountain biking and coaching a youth lacrosse team in Rye, New York

Laura ValentineLaura Valentine is from Fairfield, Connecticut and graduated from Villanova University in 2010. Laura is a Senior Vice President and Investment Solutions Specialist at Bank of America US Trust. Laura grew up playing lacrosse at Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, Fairfield Warde High School, and was a member of the CT Lacrosse Futures club team. Laura joined CityLax in 2011 and is a site coordinator for the CityLax winter clinics.

Lauren VanceLauren Vance is a Private Wealth Advisor in the Investment Management Division of Goldman Sachs. She joined the firm in 2016, after spending ten years in investment management at Credit Suisse and Lehman Brothers. Lauren graduated from Princeton University, where she earned a degree in Politics and was a four-year starting defender for the Women’s Lacrosse Team. At Princeton, she was a three-time All-American and a member of the 2003 National Championship Team. Lauren serves on the Board of Directors for the Tewaaraton Foundation, is actively involved with CityLax, and currently resides in Washington, DC.
